Obituary of Allen-O. Anderson

ANDERSON - Allen O. Age 85, of Orchard Park and formerly of the Tonawandas, March 14, 2011 at Absolut of Orchard Park. A resident of North Tonawanda for more than 50 years, he was the husband of Ruth (nee Joerg) Anderson who died in 2010, son of the late Axel and Marion (nee Krueger) Anderson; step-son of the late Florence Anderson; brother of the late Dorothy Campbell and Ruth Ann Anderson. He is survived by two sons Roy D. (Sharon) Anderson of Barker, NY and David J. Anderson of the Town of Wheatfield, two grandchildren Glenn Anderson and Marie (Ron) Johnson; also several nieces, nephews and many friends. No prior visitation. A private interment in White Chapel Memorial Park. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service Saturday (March 26th) at 11 AM in Salem United Church of Christ, 114 Morgan St. in Tonawanda. A 1943 graduate of Tonawanda High School and a US Army veteran serving during World War II, he was employed by the Wurlitzer Co. and was actively involved in maintaining several area church organs for many years. He retired in 1982 as Vice President and Treasurer of Forest Lawn Cemetery in Buffalo with more than 20 years of service. He was also active in the Buffalo Kiwanis.
