Obituary of Alfred Jackson


Alfred W. Jackson NEWFANE Alfred W. Jackson, formerly of Lexington, Mass., left us with the grace of God, December 28, 2012 at the age of 89 in Grace Cottage Hospital with devoted friend and caregiver Maxine LaDouceur and her husband Leo by his side. Alfred was orphaned and blissfully adopted at a very young age. He served his nation proudly in World War II in the Navy; stationed abroad.He was the beloved husband of the late Ida Jackson, loving father of the late Maryanne Jackson, devoted companion of the late Lise Borth and proud brother of the late George, Phillip, Mary, Alfreda and Edward. He leaves to mourn his passing his niece Loretta (Jackson) Baldwin and an immeasurable number on nieces, nephews and extended family and adored friends who were ever vigilant of his needs such as Christine Druke, Debbie Pierson and Terrill Douglas.Alfred loved nature and caring for God's earthy gifts. His job as supervisor and groundskeeper for Harvard/Radcliff Campus was a beloved and proud occupation.A private ceremony will be announced at a later time.He wished for contributions to be made to The Home for Little Wanderers, 271 Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02115 Visit www.The home.Org/Tribute.Arrangements are under the care of White Funeral Chapel & Cremation Service, Townshend.
