Obituary of Agnes-Muriel Jackson

JACKSON, Agnes Muriel. Peacefully crossed over into the loving arms of her Maker on Friday, May 6, 2005 in her ninety-eighth year. She rests in communion with her parents, Ann and Ernest; sister, Ruth; and brothers, Theodore (son Ted), Russell (Alice), Gerald (Virginia), Paul, Evan, and Leonard. She will be deeply missed by her sisters-in-law: Joyce, Pat and Pauline. She was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, godmother and friend. Her nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and godchildren are a testament to her unconditional love. As a teacher, she ignited a flame in her students, many of whom became lifelong friends. Her love of God and family inspires us all to live joyfully. In recent years, the staff at Borden Place Residence provided a caring home for Muriel. To Julia and caregivers, Muriel whispers "Thank You"... a simple expression wrapped in sincere love and eternal gratitude. This appreciation is extended to the Sisters of the Holy Name of Jesus and Mary, St. Mary's Hospital (7 Main) and l'Institut universitaire de geriatrie de Montreal (Cote des Neiges Pavilion, unit E1) nursing staff and Dr. Lajeunesse. Visitation at the Kane & Fetterly Funeral Home, 5301 Decarie Blvd. (corner Isabella) on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Monica's Church (6405 Terrebonne) on Tuesday, May 10 at 10 a.m.
