Adger William Pace LYMAN, SC-- Adger William Pace, 83, of Lyman, went to be with his Heavenly Father Thursday, August 30, 2012 at National Healthcare of Mauldin. Born October 1, 1928, he was the son of the late Jethro Henry Pace and Winnie Ivester Pace. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Eulala Watson Pace; a daughter, Reba Snow and her husband Dean of Reidville; a son, Paul Watson Pace of Reidville; two grandsons, Kenneth Wayne and Jeffery Scott Snow both of Reidville; a great-granddaughter, Kendra Leigh Snow, also of Reidville; a brother, Vernon Pace of Duncan; a sister, Lavada Casey and her husband Robert of Lyman; a sister-in-law, Eva Pace of Duncan, loving nieces and nephews, and a very special extended family member, Dr. Patricia Crawford of Greenville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Odell Jackson Pace. Mr. Pace retired from Springs Industries after 40 years in the textile industry. He worked as a textile artist in the Engraving Department, as well as other departments over the years. Prior to the merger of Calvary Baptist Church and LifeSong Church, he was a charter member of Calvary and previously served as a Deacon, Training Union Director, R.A. Leader, choir member and numerous committees. He continued to be a faithful member and to support the programs of LifeSong. He was a member of Irving Southworth Lodge in Lyman, having been a Mason for more than 40 years. In 2000 he received an Honorary Life Membership from the Millennium Lodge in appreciation of his support. Having been an Eagle Scout, he as an avid supporter of the Boy Scouts' Programs. Comments from Mr. Pace were selected by the National Eagle Scout Association for inclusion in the 2010 publication of Eagle Scout Stories, Tales from the Trails of Scouting's Highest Rank. Mr. Pace was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved sharing these activities with his son, daughter, grandsons and great-granddaughter. He was previously a member of Cedar Knoll Lodge. Mr. Pace was a loved and revered individual who was kind, patient and always ready to help where needed. He deeply loved his family, friends, and LifeSong Church. He will be missed in many places and by many people. The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 today, Sunday, September 2, 2012 at Living Waters Funeral Home and Crematory. Services will be 12:00 noon, Monday, September 3, 2012 at Living Waters Funeral Home and Crematory with Pastor Jeff Hickman officiating. Interment with Masonic rites will be follow at The Woods Memorial Park. The family wishes to thank National Health Care of Mauldin for the loving care shown to our loved one.
