Obituary of Allen-R. Anderson

ANDERSON, ALLEN R., 57 of Longwood and Osteen, passed away Friday, February 24, 2006. Allen was born in Allentown, PA. His family moved to Florida in 1955. A graduate of WPHS, he entered the military during college. He was a US Army Veteran. Self- employed, his 25-year career with AFCOM began as warehouse manager and his dedication and loyalty advanced him to full partner. Upon retirement, he headed to the river to begin a second career as owner of Molly Glen River Retreats. Allen enjoyed fishing and boating, was active in community service, fundraising for charities and was always ready to help those in need. He is survived by his wife of thirty years, Brenda; daughter Cristina; brother Charles H. and sister-in-law Sandra of St. Leonard, MD; nieces Ashley Kangas and husband Michael of Seattle, WA; Katherine Anderson of Rock Hill, SC; aunts, uncles and cousins in Pennsylvania and his many cherished friends in Florida. Services are private. In lieu of flowers, friends may, if they wish, contribute memorial donations to Safehouse of Seminole, P.O. Box 2921, Sanford, FL 32772-2921; American Red Cross of Central Florida, Five North Bumby Ave., Orlando, FL 32803; or to their favorite charity. The family wishes to thank all of Allen's friends in town and at the river for their support and kindness. Smile when you think of the "old coot".
