Yvonne Marie Lamoureux-St. Denis (née Poulin) April 28, 1915 - April 21, 2004 Was welcomed by angels, Heather and Melanie, who were eagerly waiting to greet their 'grandma'. Peacefully surrounded by her loving family, Yvonne died on April 21, 2004 at 88 years of age. She was predeceased by her first husband, David Lamoureux and second husband Cliff St. Denis. Her 'joie de vivre' lives on through her children: Norm Lamoureux and wife Marian, Ron Lamoureux and wife Charlotte, Bob Lamoureux and wife Carol; Diana (Lamoureux) and Dave Corcoran, Claudette (Lamoureux) and Bruce McMillan and Janine (Lamoureux) and Randy Bancroft. She was a "cool" grandma and role model to grandchildren: Dean & Joan, Darren, Kim & Steve, Aimée; Michelle & Bob, David & Vera, Kevin & Claudie; Marc & Sylvia, Chris & Lisa, Paula & Jim; Cheryl & Tim, Terri & Corey, Ryan; Leslie & Felice, Maegan & Craig; Jason, Brad & Kyle and to 23 great-grandchildren. Also survived by nieces and nephews too numerous to count across Canada. She is also survived by her older sister Flora Brunet of Timmins and her good friend and late brother-in-law's wife Georgina Lamoureux. Thanks to Dr. Cohen, Dr.Chou and Dr. Michael Lai and to the nurses of 3 East at Hotel Dieu-Grace Hospital for their loving care of Yvonne. Friends will be received at the Marcotte Funeral Home & Chapel 12105 Tecumseh Road, Tecumseh (735-2830) on Friday from 2-5 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. Parish Prayers at 7:30 p.m.and Family Sharing Time at 8:30 p.m. Visiting will continue at St. John Vianney Church 385 Dieppe Street on Saturday, April 24, 2004 from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Fr. Thom Blondin will be the celebrant. Cremation with a private family interment at St. Alphonsus Cemetery at a later date. In kindness memorial donations to Hospice of Windsor or to Transition to Betterness would be appreciated by the family. A tree will be planted in memory of Yvonne St. Denis in the Marcotte Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held September 26, 2004. All are welcome.
