Haggerty, 54, of Clearwater, Florida, died February 18, 2010, at his after being stricken ill.William leaves his two daughters, Summer Haggerty of Fitchburg, and Amber Haggerty of Fayetteville, NC; his mother, Jennie T. (Cicala) Haggerty of Fitchburg; one brother, Joseph Haggerty of Gardner; one sister Mary T. Fritz of Fitchburg; four nieces and nephews, Siobhan Haggerty, Jesse Fritz, Sarah Fritz, and Eoin Haggerty; and his former wife, Mary Cawley.He is predeceased by his father, William P. Haggerty, his wife, Marinne (Litzo) Haggerty, and a brother, Paul Haggerty.William was born in Bordeaux, France, on November 25, 1955. He attended Fitchburg High School and received his Associates in Business.He served in the U.S. Navy and then joined the Army National Guard and then became a full time Army Reservist. He had served in the Gulf War in 1990, and again in the recent war.He was a member of the Free and Accepted Mason, and the Keene Daley Whipple V.F.W. Post #799, and enjoyed riding his motorcycle.William's Funeral will be Tues., February 23, 2010 held from the Smith-Mallahy-Masciarelli Funeral Home, (www.masciarellifamilyfuneralhomes.net), 243 Water Street, Fitchburg, MA with a mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Anthony di Padua Church, 84 Salem Street, Fitchburg, MA 01420. Burial will be private. Calling Hours will be in the Funeral Home on Monday, February 22, 2010 from 5:00-8:00 P.M.
