"Bill" Rawson September 13, 2003 William Leon Rawson, 62, of 35 Cedar St., Cortland, died on September 13, 2003 at the Cortland Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was a lifelong resident of the Cortland area. Mr. Rawson was a master planner at Cooper Tools in Cortland, where he had been employed for 37 years. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving from 1963-1965. Survivors: A daughter Julie Rawson and her fiance', Jason Miller of Endwell, NY; a brother, Larry (Bernie) Rawson of Scott, NY; three sisters, Debbie (Mike) Hill of Spafford, NY; Mandy (Tom) Brown of Florida and Cindy (David) Slater of Idaho. Also surviving are his two loving grandchildren, Lily and John. He was predeceased by his wife, Donna in 1993, his mother, Lillian "Sister" in 1980, and his father, Lawrence "Nipper" in 1992. Services: Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, September 17, 2003 at the Donald L. Barber Funeral Home, Inc., 5016 N. Main St., Homer, with the Rev. Allan J. Ferguson officiating. Interment will follow in Glenwood Cemetery, Homer. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
