Retired textile chemist WASHINGTON, Ga. - Mr. William J. 'Bill' Gale, 78, of Springdale Park, entered into rest Wednesday evening at Wills Memorial Hospital. Memorial service will be Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m., at the Washington Presbyterian Church. Mr. Gale was a native of Spartanburg, S.C. and had lived in Washington since 1980. He was an army veteran of WW II and a member of the Washington Presbyterian Church. He was the son of the late William J. Gale and Wilda Stephens Gale. He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Gale of the home; two sons, William Douglas Gale of Columbia, S.C. and John Stephen Gale of Cleveland, S.C.; two grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. The family will receive friends at their home at 308 Springdale Park, Washington. Memorial contributions may be made to the Washington Presbyterian Church, or to the Mary Willis Library, P.O.
