->William "Bill" T. HaggertyRed Hook - William "Bill" T. Haggerty, husband, father, brother, and friend, died Monday, April 16th at Vassar Brothers Medical Center after suffering a heart attack. He was 69. Born at Vassar Brothers Hospital October 29, 1942 to William T. Haggerty and Evelyn Carney Haggerty, Bill grew up in downtown Poughkeepsie the second youngest of nine children. In 1987 he married Roxanne Morrison, who survives him at home in Red Hook. Thoughtful, stubborn, loving, mischievous and kind, Bill was a skilled carpenter, collector, storyteller and haggler of all things trash and treasure. A natural outdoorsman he especially loved to fish, but his stories were always bigger than his catch.In addition to his wife, Roxanne Morrison Haggerty, Bill leaves behind his son, William T. Haggerty; his stepson, Robert Huckell; his sisters, Cecilia Cogdell and Edith Munze and his brother Michel Haggerty. He was predeceased by his brothers, Raymond DuBois and John DuBois; and his sisters, Joan Hewitt, Mary Jane Phillips and Patricia Milone. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins, and other loving relatives and friends.Cremation arrangements are under the supervision of Burnett and White Funeral Home in Red Hook.
