William F. FurlongPlymouth William F. Furlong, age 83, passed away Saturday morning in Plymouth. He was born in Boston, MA on January 31, 1924. He was the retired Vice President of United States Trust. He was a World War II Army Veteran, a member of the Braintree VFW, a member of Plymouth American Legion Post 40 and a life-long Red Sox fan. William was also a 35 year resident of Braintree, MA. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor (Breen) Furlong. He is also survived by his children Dr. Stephen Furlong and his wife, Eileen of Wilmington, DE, Linda Hazelton and her husband, Richard of Hingham, Mark Furlong and his wife, Judy of Kingston, NH, Joanne Hamor and her husband, Scott of Kingston, NH, Christopher Furlong and his wife, Elaine of Pembroke. He is survived by his grandchildren, Erika Furlong, Gregory Furlong, Richard Hazelton, Jeff Richard, Lindsay Furlong, Thomas Furlong, Joshua Hamor,Alexander Hamor, Katie Hamor, Emily Hamor, Bryan Sawtelle and Jake Sawtelle. He is also survived by his sister Mary Agnes O'Neil of Charlestown and his brother James Edward Furlong of Revere.He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Bridget (Fortune) Furlong, and his siblings Anna Keenan, Nicholas Furlong, Walter Furlong, Marion Furlong, Thomas Furlong, John Furlong and Joseph Lester Furlong. Calling hours will be held in the Bartlett -Garrity Funeral Home, 338 Court Street, Plymouth on Tuesday, October 30th from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha Church at 11:00 a.m. following visitation. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
