BANNON William F. Bannon, age 68, beloved husband of Gayle DiGiorgi Bannon, of Seymour, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2004, at Connecticut Hospice in Branford. Mr. Bannon was born in Bridgeport, on May 10, 1935, son of the late William F. Sr. and Edith Drew Bannon. A resident of Seymour for 41 years, he had worked as an insulator for several insulating companies throughout his career. He had served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, James P. Bannon of New Hampshire, and Thomas W. Bannon of New Jersey; a daughter, Kathleen Ecay of Tennessee; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Friends and relatives are invited to attend his funeral service on Saturday, January 31, 2004, at 7 p.m. at the Spinelli-Malerba Funeral Home, 62 Beaver Street, Ansonia. Burial will be private. Visiting hours will be held on Saturday from 4 p.m. until services. Contributions may be made to Connecticut Hospice, 100 Double Beach Road, Branford, CT 06405, or through the funeral home.
