Dunphy, William B. Webster: Died suddenly, March 25, 2008, at the age of 68. He is predeceased by his family, and best buddy Trollop, and has gone to be with them. He leaves behind a multitude of mourning friends who will miss his contagious smile and mischievous personality. Bill was born in Rochester and spent his early childhood in New Orleans before returning to Rochester. He was a graduate of Marshall High School. Bill proudly served in the Armed Forces as a U.S. Marine. After Bill's return from the Marine Corps, he initially worked at Fabry's Service Station, and then moved on to Xerox Corporation, where he spent many years of service. Bill was also a professional bartender, spending many years at the Holiday Inn on Ridge Rd., the Diplomat Party House and the Portico Restaurant. Bill was an avid sportsman and athlete, and participated in baseball, softball, basketball, wrestling, football and bowling. He served as a softball and baseball umpire and basketball referee. Bill enjoyed and was a very successful men's and women's softball coach. He led many local teams to championships on a local and national level. Bill enjoyed a good card game and a challenging crossword puzzle. BARTOLOMEO & PEROTTO Funeral Home, Inc., is caring for Bill's family and friends. Bill's life will be celebrated with refreshments on Saturday, April 19th at the Jade Palace Restaurant, 602 Old Ridge Rd., at the corner of Gravel Rd., at 3 PM. Please bring pictures and your memories of Bill to share with everyone and join in the celebration of Bill's life.
