WHALEN, Warren Edward It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Warren Whalen, adored husband, father and uncle. Warren passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 1, 2010 at Abbotsford hospital of kidney failure. He was born September 17, 1937 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. At age four Warren lost his father in the war, but grew up to be a kind, loving and generous man with a huge love of life. He accomplished a lot in his 72 years. He was in a job he loved with London Life for 32 years. He enjoyed his time in the Lion's Club and his many years of coaching his daughter Deana's softball teams. Warren's joy was travelling with his best friend and loving wife of 40 years Barb, which they had the good fortune to do a lot of. When he retired golf became another great joy. It was more about the fun and the laughs than the score. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife Barb, his children Deana, Jeffrey, Cynthia and Deborah; granddaughter, great-grandson, nieces, nephews, in-laws, friends and neighbours. No service by request. Warren's wish was to have a celebration of his life at a future date to be announced.
