FIELDS, WILLIAM RAY Age 66 of Hoover, AL, passed away in his home on December 10, 2011. He is preceded in death by his parents Sallie Mae Fields and Richard O Fields, a son, Michael Folmar, and daughter Cindy Fields. He is survived by his wife Clovia "Skip" Fields, one brother and two sisters, daughters Tonya Herring and Nicki Merritt, grandchildren, Brittany Herring, Michael Herring, Max Herring, and Savahnah Lewis. He worked as a police officer at Midfield police department for three years than went to Columbiana for two years and finally retired as a Lieutenant at Hoover Police Department after 36 years. He was loved by many as a friend, father, brother, and mentor. The visitation will be held at Southern Heritage funeral home in Pelham, AL from 5pm to 7pm on Monday the 12th of December , the services will be at 12:30pm on Tuesday the 13th at southern heritage with an escorted procession to Jefferson Memorial Cemetery in Hoover, AL >
