MERIDEN - Vivian E. Parks, 83, wife of the late Ralph P. Parks, Sr., died peacefully on Wednesday, Febr. 13, 2008, at Wolcott Hall in Torrington. Born in Presque Isle, Maine on Sept. 9, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Lucy Moran. She had resided in Meriden most of her adult life. Mrs. Parks will always be remembered for her love of her grandchildren. She is survived by two daughters, Judy Hyder and Linda Gonzalez; three sons, Eugene Crouch, Dan Crouch and Ralph Parks Jr.; 19 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one sister, Madelene McPherson; and several nieces. She was predeceased by Catherine Moran and Ogden Moran. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main St., Meriden. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1701 North Beauregard St., Alexandria, VA 22311. www.jferryfh.com
