NEVINS, VIRGINIA MARYVirginia Mary Nevins, formerly of Sparkill and Congers, NY, passed away at 82 on January 8, 2005, after a short illness at St. Cabrini's Nursing Home in Dobbs Ferry, NY. She was born on October 18, 1922 in Brooklyn, New York to Jennie and Edward Walker. She married Lawrence L. Nevins in Holy Innocents, R.C. Church in Brooklyn on 28 June, 1947. The couple and their two children moved to Congers in 1966. Virginia was employed by St. Agatha's Home as a secretary. After her retirement, Virginia resided in Laurel, Maryland for 17 years with her daughter and family before returning to Thorpe Village in Sparkill, NY. She is predeceased by her husband Lawrence who died on December 10, 1978. She is survived by her son Lawrence and daughter-in-law Linda of Congers, her daughter Maureen Mack and grandchildren Jason and Kristen Mack of Maryland. Viewing to be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2005 at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home, 321 So. Main Street, New City, NY 10956 between 2-4 and 7-9.
