of Lunenburg; 69 LUNENBURG -- Vera A. (Ingemie) McCarthy, 69, of Lunenburg, died Sunday, March 6, 2011 at her home surrounded by her loving family.Mrs. McCarthy was born in Fitchburg, June 9, 1941, a daughter of Nat and Edith (Orsini) Ingemie and has resided in Lunenburg for 45 years. She was a 1959 graduate of St. Bernard's Central Catholic High School in Fitchburg and continued her education at Bryant & Stratton College, Boston.She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Francis L. McCarthy; her daughter Robyn Thibodeau of Belfast Maine, her daughter Kelly Kurtz and her husband Wally of Lunenburg, a son Christopher McCarthy and his wife Kim of Holden and her sister, Edith Scott of Fitchburg. She leaves her pride and joy six wonderful grandchildren, Nicholas and McKenzie Thibodeau, Connor and Kelsey Kurtz, and Madeline and Katherine McCarthy. She will always be remembered with fond memories of camp "G".With her husband, Mrs. McCarthy owned and operated Associated Data Concepts in Fitchburg.Vera had a love for antiques and her home. Her family and her grandchildren were the most important things in her life.She was an active member of the Nashua Valley Council of the Boy Scouts of America and served on its Executive Committee and as Chairperson to the Membership Committee and was a longtime member of the North Worcester Chamber of Commerce. She has written the column "Observation Point" for the Lunenburg Ledger Newspaper for the past year, something that has given her great joy. She was a member of St. Boniface Church in Lunenburg as well as a member of the Lunenburg Historical Commission. She worked as the secretary at the Thomas C. Passios Elementary School for many years before joining her husband in running their company.She was a former member and President of the Ladies Golf Committee at Oak Hill Country Club in Fitchburg.MCCARTHY -- A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Friday at St. Boniface Church, 817 Massachusetts Avenue, Lunenburg.
