BEDFORD - Dr. Thomas M. Hanlon Jr., 75, of Bedford, died May 12, 2013, at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester following a battle with heart disease and in recent years Alzheimer's, surrounded by his wife and children. He was born on July 15, 1937, in Salem, Mass., the son of the late Mary (Curtin) Hanlon and Thomas M. Hanlon Sr. He was a doctor with the U.S. Air Force Medical Corps, retiring as a colonel. Surviving family members include his wife, Elinor (Ahern) Hanlon of Bedford; two sons, Dr. Stephen Hanlon and his wife Susan Fanburg of Bedford and Matthew Hanlon and his wife Angelika Grohnmeier of Southboro, Mass.; two daughters, Megan Doherty and Brian of Manchester and Colleen Hanlon of Syracuse, N.Y.; nine grandchildren and his four sisters, Denise Rockett of Marblehead, Mass., Virginia Michaud and Charlene Hanlon both of Salem, Mass., and Rosemary Dilk of Swampscott, Mass. He is also survived by Thomas III and David Hanlon, Laurie Magrane and Kathleen Langan. . SERVICES: There are no calling hours. A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 190 Meetinghouse Road, Bedford. In lieu of flowers donations in Thomas's memory can be made to Catholic Medical Center C-100, Attn: Keri Degan, 100 McGregor St., Manchester, 03102 or to the Skip Curtis Fund in memory of Tom Hanlon, BU School of Medicine, 72 East Concord St. 07380, Boston MA 02118 Attn:.
