Westerly - On Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, Thomas J. Grady passed away peacefully in his hometown of Westerly, surrounded by his family and friends.Tom previously served in the Army National Guard. He attended high school at La Salle Academy, where he played hockey. He continued his schooling and love for hockey at Providence College and finally completed his education at Boston College Law School.Tom was an attorney and managing partner of Lenihan Grady & Steele Law Office and practiced law in Rhode Island for more than 50 years. He was a devoted member of the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Westerly.Thomas was a loyal friend to Bill W. for more than 40 years. One of his loves included the beautiful scenery at Enders Island of Mystic, as well as the Rhode Island coastline, where he spent a lot of his time even until the final weeks of his life. He will be greatly missed by his children, Kara Grady Boudreau of Chestnut Hill, Mass., Thomas Grady Jr. of Acton, Mass., Michael Grady of Westerly, Amy Grady Cronk of San Jose, Calif., and Christopher Grady of Groton; granddaughter, Jacqueline Boudreau of Chestnut Hill; and his sister, Mary Grady Long of Tampa, Fla. Visiting hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4, at Gaffney Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, at Immaculate Conception Church, 111 High St., Westerly. There is no procession to the church from the funeral home.
