WATERS Thomas Eugene Age 81 of Horseheads, NY passed away on Thursday March 26, 2009. He was born on December 3, 1927 in Elmira, NY the son of the late Joseph and Madeline Newman Waters. Mr. Waters was a Veteran serving his country with the U.S. Navy. Thomas married his wife Helen Tarby Waters in June of 1951 and they would have celebrated their 58th Wedding Anniversary this year. Mr. Waters retired from the Bendix Corporation as a Traffic Manager after 36 years. He also owned Show Car Auto Detailing with his son Thomas and enjoyed spending time there. He loved the outdoors, was an avid swimmer and loved being at Seneca Lake. Thomas was a passionate, hardworking, giving man, always on the go and lived life to the fullest. Thomas was pre-deceased by his parents; brothers and sister: Joseph Waters, James Waters, Martin Waters, Joan Pickering. Mr. Waters is survived by his loving wife Helen Tarby Waters; sons and daughter-in-law: William and Dana Waters of Big Flats, NY; Thomas Waters Jr. of Horseheads, NY; granddaughter Anna Marie Waters; brother: Robert Waters of Elmira, NY; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of caring friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Lynch Funeral Home 318 West Broad Street Horseheads, NY on Sunday March 29, 2009 from 3-6 PM. Mr. Waters Funeral Services will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 6 PM.
