Avis de décès de Tara-Marie Valentin

Tara Marie Valentin Tara Marie Valentin (nee Allen), 26, of Millville, was unexpectedly taken from her family on Friday, Sept. 24, 2010 and now she is with the Lord. Born in Bridgeton, she is the daughter of Connie M. Chann (John Stowe) of Millville and Arthur R. Allen (Evelyn) of Bridgeton. She was a graduate of Bridgeton High School Class of 2002 and a lifetime area resident. While in high school she played softball and locally played for many years on the all-star team at West Cumberland Little League. Tara worked as a personal assistant for Concepts of Independence Inc., a company based in New York City who provided personal care for the blind. While in high school she had worked for BottinoÕs Shoprite and AdamoÕs Deli in Bridgeton. After school, she worked as a secretary for COPS Monitoring in Williamstown and as a dispatcher for Quick Towing in Bridgeton. The greatest joy in TaraÕs life was her son, Jorge L. Valentin Jr. He was the center of her world and her pride and joy. Tara will be remembered as a generous and kind mother who often put the needs of others before her own. She gave her time freely to those in need but also made time for the lighter side of life. She loved music, camping, going to the beach and crabbing with her family. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Jorge L. Valentin Sr.; maternal grandmother, Mary "Moggie" Chann of Bridgeton; two aunts, Tammy L. Fiorani and Jean Fry, both of Bridgeton; two uncles, Jonathan A. Chann and Bobby Chann Jr., both of Bridgeton; and several cousins, including Kevin Fiorani, Becky Fry, Maria Fiorani, Kayla Cruz, Kevin Fiorani III, Kameron Fiorani, Mercedes Martir, Andrew Wescoat, Jeremy Hayes and Alyssa Fiorani-Waddington. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, the late Robert Chann in 2010, and her paternal grandparents, the late Herbert Allen in 1976 and the late Edna Allen (nee Thalwitzer) in 1996. Friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Thursday morning, Sept. 30 at 11 a.m. at the Freitag Funeral Home, 137 W. Commerce St., Bridgeton, with the Rev. Philip Cornwell of the Life in Christ Outreach Ministries and Rev. Woodson Moore of the Fairton Christian Center officiating. The interment will take place following the service. Friends will be received Wednesday, Sept. 29 between the hours of 5 and 8 p.m., and again on Thursday, Sept. 30 between 10 and 11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made in the name of Jorge L. Valentin Jr. College Fund, c/o Colonial Bank, 2745 S. Delsea Drive, Vineland, NJ 08360.
