A 16 year resident of Garnerville and formerly of Jackson Heights, Queens, NY, died September 7, 2001 at Westchester Medical Center. He was 54 years old. Born in Brooklyn, NY, on January 13, 1947 to William Clayton and Margaret Botti Shaughnessy, he worked as a shipping manager for Graphic Arts International Local 119B for 16 years. Survivors include his wife, Elaine, at home; a brother-in-law Edward P. Smith Jr, and his wife Manuela of Succasunna, NJ; a niece Celeste Smith and a nephew Corporal Edward S. Smith USMCR. He was predeceased by two brothers, James Clayton Shaughnessy and Edward Jerome Shaughnessy who was a recipient of the Distinguished Service Cross for extraordinary heroism in action in Vietnam May 12, 1967. Friends may call at the Edward C. Finn Funeral Home in Stony Point on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday September 10, 2001 at St. Gregory Barbarigo RC Church, Cinder Road, Garnerville, at 10:15 am.
