Ruth L. Walker, a long term residence of Orleans died on March 26, 2014 at her daughter's home in West Chester, Penna. She was 94 years old. Born in Rhode Island, she graduated from Univ. of Rhode Island with a degree in Home Economics. She is predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Frank, and a sister, Connie Johnson. She is survived by her children Peter (Francine) of Bedford Hills, NY., Leslie Walker of West Chester, Penna., Hank Walker (Lee) of Roseburg, Oregon and Connie Kain (Michael) of Eastham; her sister Phebe Houghton of Orleans, 7 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren. Ruth was passionate about her Family, Gardening, collecting art, bridge, reading and antiques. She loved to entertain. Among her last words were "Life is good..... aren't we lucky."
