ALBANY Ruth L. Leahy, 89, of Albany, died Sunday, May 9, 2004 at the Teresian House, after a long illness. She was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late John and Anna Wagoner Lussier. She was a member of the former Madison Avenue Presbyterian Church and currently a member of New Covenant Presbyterian Church in Albany. Ruth was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was predeceased by her husband, Herbert H. Leahy; her daughter, Patricia A. Leahy and her siblings, Dorothy Green, Blanche Frost, Elon Lussier and Barbara Jones. She is the beloved mother of Joan E. Leary of Guilderland; cherished grandmother of Donna Pszeniczny and her husband Michael, Mark Leary and his wife Jacqulyn; great-grandmother of Ryan Peter Leary. Funeral services will be Wednesday morning at 11:30 at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Avenue). A calling hour will precede the service on Wednesday from 10:30 to 11:30 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to New Covenant Presbyterian Church, 916 Western Avenue, Albany, NY 12203, in memory of Ruth L. Leahy.
