<!-- FH = Faith Chapel Funeral HOme North -->Ruth (Sue) Marjorie Myrick Jennings1924-2011Our beloved dear mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Ruth Marjorie Myrick Jennings (known as "Me-Mom" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and known as "Sue" to other family and friends) passed away to live with our Lord April 15, 2011.Born on March 24, 1924, in Robertsdale, Alabama, she lived there with her parents, James Rufus Myrick and mother Ruth Gertrude Burroughs Myrick, one older sister and five brothers. She lived there only two years before her family moved to Gonzalez, Florida, where she lived the remainder of her 87 years. She married Philip W. Jennings in December, 1946, and together they had nine children.Mom was a Christian and a member of Gonzalez Baptist Church. She loved babies and children and devoted all of her time and energy to her family, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren all of whom she had a hand in bringing up and all of whom she loved dearly and who loved her with all of their heart. She was a kind, gentle, caring, and understanding person who we are all blessed to have had for our wonderful mother and grandmother. She loved and was loved and will be missed beyond words.Preceded in death by her husband and a son, James Myrick Jennings, she is survived by eight living children; Carolyn Ann and her husband, Ralph R. "Bob" Handler; Marjorie Phyllis and her husband T. J. "Buddy" Gates; Virginia Sue Weinman; Faye Ellen Mitchell; Philip W. Jennings, Jr.; Ruth Elizabeth Jennings McDonald; Michael Leonard Jennings; and Henry Fonda Jennings, as well as 10 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.Visitation will be Tuesday, April 19, 5-7 p.m. at Faith Chapel North Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 a.m. followed by burial at Gonzalez Methodist Church cemetery.
