PEMBROKE -- Russell P. Johnson, 73, died Sept. 24, 2009, at his home on Friendship Ave. He was born on June 17, 1936, in Manchester, to Carl and Phyllis (Francis) Johnson. He grew up in Manchester, attended Central High School, and had been a resident of Pembroke for 25 years. He was a self-employed roofer and in his spare time enjoyed hunting, fishing, and especially spending time with his great-grandsons. Family includes his wife, Virginia (Tyler) Johnson; and a daughter, Linda McClintock-Hemingway of Pembroke. IN HIS LIFE: He also leaves a granddaughter, Brandy Deno of Pembroke; and two great-grandsons, Jeremy and Ryan; four siblings, Dorothy Parents, Gloria Wilson, and Anne Rochette, all of Manchester, and Carl Johnson of North Carolina; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three siblings, Shirley Thorgerson, Robert Johnson, and Ruth Wantuck. SERVICES: Graveside services will be Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at the Meredith Village Cemetery.
