Funeral service will be Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 4:30 p.m. from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Dr. Larry Yarborough and Dr. Harold Allen officiating. Entombment will follow at Sumner Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with her Grandchildren serving as Pallbearers. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 23, from 1 p.m. until time of service. Mrs. Rubye Anne was born March 21, 1925 in Smith County to the late Fred E. Russell, and Virginia Wright Porter Russell. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Paul D. Alexander; her son, Charles "Tony" Alexander; her daughter, Paula Ann Alexander Troutt.She is survived by her son-in-law, William E. "Bill" Troutt of Gallatin; daughter-in-law, Sue Newby Alexander of Gallatin; sisters, Joyce Hill Gannett (Cliff) of Pocomoke City, Maryland, Pauline Clemmons of Lebanon and Dot Garrett of Hendersonville; grandchildren, Doug Alexander, Jim Troutt (Claudia), Paul Troutt (Kelly), Jon Troutt (Kristen), Travis Alexander and Jennie Alexander; great grandchildren, Lauren Troutt, Luke Trout and Katherine Troutt. Paul and Rubye Anne were well known in the Gallatin community with their ownership and operation of Alexander Funeral Home for many decades. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Gallatin, 205 East Main Street, Gallatin, TN 37066.
