Avis de décès de Roy-Gordon-Harvey Johnson

JOHNSON, Roy Gordon Harvey November 1, 1930 January 22, 2012 With heavy hearts and sorrow, we must say goodbye to Uncle Roy." He leaves behind his best friend and love of his life, his wife of 56 years, Betty. Roy will be missed and remembered by his friends and family for his one of a kind character and love of life. His countless glorious stories and infectious boisterous laugh made him the ultimate people person. Roy was Uncle to many nieces and nephews, but countless others adopted him as Uncle Roy ". Roy was a logging pioneer, starting at 14 years, and going to Port Renfrew by steamboat, where he met Betty. He worked his way by train to Harris Creek and Bear Creek camps, eventually logging his way by train to Lake Cowichan. He experienced steam logging to present day diesel. Roy's big heart gave to people in need. He cut fire wood, gave food from his farm, and money to the needy. To Uncle Roy, B.C. was the most beautiful place in the world. He could be found anywhere. Whether it be riding on the ferries or driving his truck, he was happy to roam B.C. Roy was Uncle Roy" to many, he will be missed. Roy's wishes were to be cremated and no service. He was a humble man that deserves to bow out respectfully with our respect and love. Remember him; remember his stories with a smile and a laugh. Roy enjoyed life and making people happy. He would wish this. 647663
