Roselyn Rodney Johnsonof Montrose, Pa.Roselyn Rodney Johnson, 71, of Montrose, Pa., passed away Thursday morning, at home. She was the widow of Robert A. Johnson Sr., who passed away in 1990. Born in Scranton, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Winfield Scott and Nellie McCormick Rodney. She attended Scranton Public Schools and was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School. She was a US Army veteran of the Korean War, attaining the rank of Corporal. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a Clerk for the US Postal Service, Newark, N.J. She had resided, until 1992, in N. Arlington, N.J. prior to moving to Montrose, Pa. She was a member of Calo-Saas VFW Post, N. Arlington, N.J. and the Warren-Barber American Legion Post #154, Montrose, Pa. She was a former member of the Court St. UMC., Scranton, Pa. She is survived by one daughter, Linda Bonavita Johnson, E. Bangor, Pa.; three sons, Robert A. Johnson Jr., N. Arlington, N.J., William E. Johnson and Martin J. Johnson, both of Fairdale, Pa. two sisters, Mildred O'Hara, Clarks Summit, Pa., Marion DePew, Dunellen, Fla.; one brother, Dr. William Rodney, Rockville, Md.; 15 grandchildren; two great-grandsons; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Jones and Margaret Watson; and one brother, Winfield S. Rodney Jr.Funeral services with Military Honors will be conducted Monday, from the Howard J. Snowdon Funeral Home, 1810 Sanderson Ave., Scranton, Pa., with services at 1 p.m. in the Court St., UMC, 816 Court St., Scranton, Pa. Rev. William Reid, pastor, will officiate. Interment will be in Maple Lake Cemetery, Spring Brook Township, Pa. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday, from 2 to 5 p.m. and Monday, from 11:30 to 12:30 p.m.
