<!-- FH = Meadors Funeral Home, Republic -->Rose Mary "Rosie" TylerMrs. Rose Mary "Rosie" Tyler, age 74, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on Monday, August 13, 2012 in Mercy Hospital, Springfield, Missouri. She was a Nebraska girl born on June 4, 1938 into a big Catholic farming family who taught her to keep her family close and everything would be alright.Rosie moved to California in her early twenties and met a Marine, George Tyler, whom she married and moved to Springfield with when he was discharged. They had four children and she spent most of her time taking care of other people's children, as well as her own, because she liked a full and active household. Rosie was very good at making something out of nothing and her home was always welcoming. She liked to spend her time crocheting and made many beautiful things for family and friends. She was a very good cook and her entire family looked forward to her homemade cinnamon rolls. Her home was at the center of her heart, but she spent some time working at the snack bar in the VFW, and considered them just one more big extended family. Rosie's quiet nature and love of life will be missed by many.She was preceded in death by her husband, George, on December 7, 2003; and her parents.Rosie is survived by her four children, David Tyler and wife Alicia, Teri Turner, Rick Tyler, and Steve Tyler and wife Kelly; five grandchildren, Mathew Turner and wife Emily, Melodi Turner, Courtney Tyler, Aaron Tyler, and Lauren Tyler; and a great grandchild, Molly Turner.A graveside memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 20, 2012 in Evergreen Cemetery, Republic, under the direction of Meadors Funeral Home, Republic.
