Rose Ferraro of Bloomfield, N.J., passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2010. Funeral is on Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. from the Megaro Memorial Home, 503 Union Ave., Belleville, N.J., , (megaromemorialhome.com). Mass is at 10 a.m. in Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart Newark, N.J. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, East Orange, N.J. Visitation is on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Born in Newark to the late Peter and Filomena (nee Megaro), Rose had lived in Bloomfield for many years. She was retired from the Charms Candy Company in Bloomfield and was a Eucharistic minister and a member of the Rosarians of the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart, Newark. She is survived by her brothers, Peter and Robert "Bob"; sisters, Florence Ferraro and Theresa Armenti, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Frank "Red," Patsy and Jerry Ferraro. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the New Jersey State Organization of Cystic Fibrosis in honor of Joseph Armenti, P.O. Box 3648, Wayne, N.J. 07474.
