GOUDIE, Ronald Robert Ronald Robert Goudie passed away on January 18, 2015 at the age of 80, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. Ron was born in Edinburgh, Scotland and after a period of service in the British Army, he settled in Dundee, where he met and married the love of his life, Sarah "Sally" Goudie (nee Walsh), in 1956. Ron, Sally and their two sons, Ron Jr. and Derek, immigrated to Canada in 1969, where Ron was a dedicated employee of Singer Sewing Machines and Cloverdale Paint for many years before retiring and settling in White Rock, BC. Ron was sadly predeceased by both his sons, Ron Jr. and Derek, and is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Sally; his grandchildren, Collean, Ronnie, Kevin, Christina and Mark and his daughters-in-law, Susan and Stephanie. Ron will be remembered as a caring and giving family man with a clever sense of humour and a knack for storytelling. He was an adept handyman and avid gardener and enjoyed nature walks, doting on his wife Sally and laughing with family and friends. He will be dearly missed. Family and friends are invited to remember Ron on Friday, January 23 at 9:00 a.m. at Star of the Sea Church, 1153 Fir St., White Rock.
