Robert W. Hanlon -->Robert W. Hanlon of Braintree, formerly of Westwood, Abington, and Whitman, died March 27, 2014, at age 91. He was the loving son of the late Edward and Margaret Hanlon; loving husband of the late Bernice (McNeil) Hanlon; loving father of Ann Hunter and husband David of Braintree, Joe Hanlon of Franklin, Bonnie Paglia and husband Bob of Whitman, Doreen Morrissey and husband Mike of Nashua, and Bob Hanlon and wife Jocelyn of Norwood; loving brother of Loretta Scarfarti and Mildred Greenwood both of Westwood, and the late Louise Nolan, Eileen Coullahan, Jean Cassidy, Mary Reilly, James, Edwin, and Paul Hanlon. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mr. Hanlon served in the U.S. Navy during World War II on the USS Wabash. Over the years, he was an active volunteer in the Boy Scouts and Habit for Humanity in Abington and delivered Meals on Wheels in Whitman. Funeral from the Quealy & Son Funeral Home, 116 Adams Street, Abington, Wednesday, April 2, at 8 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass in St. Bridget Church, Abington, at 9 a.m. Visitation Tuesday 4 to 8 p.m. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Rockland.
