Robert "Bob" Tyler - January 25, 1922 - June 8, 2004 - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our husband, father and grandfather Robert Tyler on Monday, June 8, 2004 at Oakview Place. Bob was born in Winnipeg on January 25, 1922, the son of Harry Tyler and Rose Beck. He enlisted in the 12 Field Company Canadian Engineers, transferring to the Winnipeg Rifles, where he served in Canada, England, France and Germany. He worked for Manitoba Bridge and retired from Bristol Aerospace. He will be missed by his wife of 57 years, Marjorie Joan; daughter Theresa Hooper (Ken); granddaughter Tracy Morgan; grandson David Morgan (Christine); brother Gerald (Marlene); sisters-in-law Bunty Laurie, Mary Atkin (Earl), Annie Payne (Bob), Jackie Sim and Milly Tyler. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Harry Tyler (Eve); mother Rose Beck (Bob); son Thomas Tyler; and brother Harold Tyler. Bob loved working in his yard and house, playing cards and visiting the casinos. He especially enjoyed his many trips with his wife and Bob and Annie to Minneapolis to see the Blue Jays. He was a member of the St. James Legion for over 55 years. If one so wishes, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bob's favourite charity, the Cerebral Palsy Association of Manitoba, 1060 Ellice Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3G 0G9. Memorial service will be held on Monday, June 14, 2004 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue.
