Robert M. (Sarge) Dwyerof HillcrestRobert M. (Sarge) Dwyer, 84, of Hillcrest, passed away peacefully, Thursday, April 3, 2003, at 3:40 p.m., surrounded by his family. He was predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Mae Dwyer; two sisters, Frances Dwyer and Dorothy Pendlebury; two brothers, Richard and Arthur Dwyer Jr. He is survived by his loving brother and sisters, William Sr. and Irene Dwyer, Betty Cooper, Jerry Hudick and Barbara Jean Townsend; a brother-in-law, Robert Pendlebury; two sisters-in-law, Henrietta and Patricia Dwyer; also many loving nieces and nephews and their children. He retired from Singer-Link in 1980 after 30 years of service. He was a disabled WWII US Army Air Corp veteran, a life member of the D.A.V.-Commander Club, a member of the American Legion Post 1645, and VFW Post 478. Robert was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Church. He loved flowers, gardening and meticulously maintained his lawn and home. Bob is now 100%. His favorite expression was "Love Ya".Funeral services will be held Monday at 9 a.m. from the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango St., Port Dickinson, and at 9:30 a.m. from St. Catherine's Church, where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. Friends wishing may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, 31 Adams Ave., Endicott, N.Y. 13760.
