NORTON Robert L. Norton, 68, went home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ, Thursday, March 24, 2005. Robert was born December 28, 1936 in Jacksonville, FL. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and he was also employed as a newsdealer for over 25 years with the Florida Times-Union. He was preceded in death by his parents George W. and Bertha Louise Norton. Sisters Dorothy and Christine Norton and brother Edward Norton. He leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife of 46 years Frances, and sons Robert Norton, Jr. and wife Cathy, and Dwayne Norton. He was the proud papa of grandchildren Tracy and Tina Norton and Matthew Stevens, who were the light of his life. He also leaves a caring family who loves him including sister in laws Beverly Ruegg, Nancy Hendrix, Connie Norton, and brother in law Jimmy Hendrix. Nephews Darryl Hendrix and wife Cindi, Micheal Hendrix and wife Jackie, Jimmy and David Hendrix, Bryan Norton and Nieces Carmen and Leslie. The family will receive friends M onday, March 28th from 6 to 8 pm at Hardage-Giddens funeral home Edgewood Ave. The service will take place Tuesday, March 29th at 2pm. in the Funeral Home Chapel.
