ROBERT J. GOUDIE PORTAGE, IN Robert J. Goudie, age 85, of Portage passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014. He was a longtime Portage resident and was formerly of Orland Park, IL. Robert was born on August 29, 1928 in Blue Island, IL to the late James and Gladys Goudie. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked as a Salesman for Paul Heuring Ford and Bosak Chrysler Dodge and Jeep, retiring in 1990. Robert is survived by his former wife and caregiver, Beverly Goudie Neyhart of Portage, IN; three sons: Robert (Mary) Goudie of Orland Park, IL, Bruce Goudie of Crestwood, IL, and Jeffrey Goudie of Orland Park, IL; one daughter, Deborah (Billy) Ellsworth of Las Vegas, NV; one brother, Paul (Lavonna) Goudie of Phoenix, AZ; one sister, Gladys (Gerald) Burton of Phoenix, AZ; three stepsons: Paul E. (Deborah) Neyhart, Jr. of Portage, IN, Richard D. Neyhart of Portage, IN, and Keith A. Neyhart of Michigan City, IN; 20 grandchildren; and 26 great grandchildren. Cremation will take place with Rees Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Olson Chapel, Portage. A memorial service will be on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Chaplain Bill Moxey at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage. Memorial visitation will be Saturday, March 22, 2014 just prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, Portage.
