Robert G. Sargent, 81, Grove City, died Dec. 9, 2005. He was born Dec. 12, 1923, in Toledo, Ohio, and came to Grove City in 1981 from Brier Hill, N.Y. He retired as a guidance counselor for the St. Lawrence School District and was in the Army military police during World War II. He graduated from Clarkson University, Potsdam, N.Y., and earned a master's degree in business administration from St. Lawrence University. He was a member of the Elks in Rotonda West and St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Grove City. Survivors include his wife, Patricia; daughters Kathleen Elling of Charlotte, N.C., and Christine Sargent of Las Vegas; a son, Gregory of Dix Hills, N.Y.; and four grandchildren. Memorial services will be later in Morristown, N.Y. National Cremation Society, Port Charlotte, is in charge.
