FARRELL, Robert F., 79, of Zephyrhills, Fla., passed away Thursday, May 8, 2008, under the care of Hernando-Pasco Hospice in Dade City, Fla. He was born March 25, 1929, in Orange, N.J., to Francis and Gladys (Howard) Farrell. Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in Korea, and a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was the owner of Ethel' s Lounge and Zephyr Bowl, and was the New Jersey Golden Gloves Champion in 1945. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and enjoyed playing golf. He also enjoyed supporting his grandchildren in their sports and activities. He was a regular at all the area Zephyrhills Bulldogs sporting events. Robert is survived by his wife, Kathryn Farrell of Zephyrhills; a son, Mickey Farrell and his wife, Valarie of Zephyrhills; a daughter, Tracy Mahon and her husband, Lee, of Zephyrhills; four grandchildren, Alyssa, Kyle, Kelly and Robbie; a brother, Frank Farrell and his wife, Barbara, of Zephyrhills; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Happy and Gladys Farrell. Memorial services, with the Rev. A.C. Bryant officiating, will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2008, at Trinity United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service at 5:30 p.m. Committal services, with military honors, will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, May 16, 2008, at Florida National Cemetery.
