NORTON, ROBERT E. "BOB", 93Ocala - Mr. Robert E. "Bob" Norton, age 93, of Ocala, Florida died Saturday, June 7, 2008 at West Marion Community Hospital. He was born in Joliet, Illinois and moved to Ocala in 2000 from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. For over 65 years, he was with the Miami Plumbers Union, Local #519. He is Christian by faith. Bob loved fishing, swimming, gardening, raising horses and miniature pinchers and was an inventor. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 68 years, Lillian E. Norton and is survived by his 3 sons, Larry R. Norton, Glenn R. Norton, and Brett L. Norton, all of Ocala, Florida; his daughter, Judy Bruning of Keystone Heights, Florida; 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 14, 2008 at the ROBERTS FUNERAL HOMES, Bruce Chapel West, 6241 S.W. State Road 200, Ocala, Florida, with interment to follow in Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to service time on Saturday, June 14, 2008.
