ObituaryRobert C. Peck of Shell Point Village, Ft. Myers, Florida died on February 11, 2004 at 91 years of age. He was born in New York City on June 2, 1912 to Allen J. Peck and Nellie Bogart Peck. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Alfred. Robert was employed for many years by Lionel D. Edie & Co. in New York City, an investment counseling firm. He was a graduate of New York University and a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. In 1949 he moved to Boonton, New Jersey with his wife Edna Hunt Peck, who was deceased in 1965, and son Robert C. Peck, Jr. In 1966 he married Gene Dixon Wilcox. He retired in 1972, and in 1977 the couple moved to Captiva Island, Florida. He was a member of the island's Civic Association. Robert is survived by his wife Gene, his son Robert and daughter-in-law Ann Murphy Peck of Houston, Texas, and granddaughters; Megan Peck of Boston, Massachusetts and Amy Peck Horton of Houston, Texas. Services are to be held on February 17, 2004 at the Captiva Island Chapel by the Sea Cemetery at 11:00 Am followed by a memorial service at the Shell Point Village Church at 3:00 PM. Following these, a reception will be held at Robert and Gene's residence at 440 Sundial Court in Shell Point Village. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hope Hospice at Shell Point.
