CARLSON, Robert Arthur 68, passed away in Clearwater, on March 13, 2008. He was born in Montclair, NJ, but spent most of his life in Jacksonville. He graduated from Andrew Jackson High School in Jacksonville and also The Citadel in Charleston, SC. He was an engineer and worked for many years for Wood-Hopkins Contracting Company in Jacksonville and also for Misener Marine Construction Company in Tampa. He was a member of Central Christian Church in Clearwater. Robert is survived by his wife, Alyce; 1 daughter, Holly C. Morgan of Valrico; 2 sons, R. Darren Carlson of Tampa, and Damon E. Carlson of Seminole; 10 grandchildren and 1 sister, Laraine McDonald of Leesburg. He was preceded in death by a daughter Layne C. Kerr of Jacksonville.
