RICHARD (DICK) HANNAN It is with profound sadness that we announce that our beloved Husband, Dad, Grandpa and Great-Grandpa passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 5, 2009 in Oakville Trafalgar Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Husband of Gladys (nee Elliott), Father of Heather Hannan, Clive and Brenda Hannan, Doug Hannan and Janet Keene, Paul and Vanida Hannan, adored Grandfather of Nicole and husband Christian McKenna, Chris, Sean, Lindsey, Alana, Olivia, Jamie, Alison, Kyle, Emily, Holly and husband Andrew LeMay. Great-Grandpa of Rylee and much loved Uncle to many nieces and nephews in Canada and Ireland. Dick has joined his 3 sisters, 4 brothers and his darlin' Grand-Daughter Raquel. Born in Wexford, Ireland, Dick trained in Horticulture at the Royal Botanical Gardens in Dublin. He came to Canada in 1953 with his sweetheart Gladys and retired from the Etobicoke Board of Education after 30 years of service. Family and friends were thrilled to join Dick in celebrating his 85th birthday last December. 'Ricardo' will be remembered by all with love and respect; he will always be in our hearts. Friends are invited to visit the family at the Church of St. Bride, 1516 Clarkson Road North, Mississauga, ON on Sunday from 3-5 p.m. A Celebration of Dick's Life will be held at the Church of St. Bride on Monday, May 11, 2009 at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior. Remembrances may be made to the Church of St. Bride, the Alzheimer Society or the charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to the Turner & Porter 'Neweduk-Erin Mills' Chapel, 905-828-8000.
