-->Richard Everett SPARTANBURG, SC-- Richard Everett, born April 7, 1940 of Ringwood, NJ, died at his home September 1, 2007 after a long-term illness. He was a disabled US Army Veteran, and served two tours in the Vietnam War, where he received a Purple Heart and other commendations. He was a strong supporter of Veterans' causes, and was a member of the American Legion, DAV, and VFW, where he served on several boards and as commander. He is survived by his wife, Gladys Everett; two daughters, Shannon Jenkins and Lareann Harblin; three step children, Rebecca Perry, Charles Sloan, and Dean Sloan; ten grandchildren and one great granddaughter; one sister and one brother, Dot Christler Winters, and Dennis Everett. Services will be held at a later date at the new Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery, Anderson.
