CRONK, Richard James "Jim" Peacefully at the West End Villa on Sunday, May 10th, 2009 in his 97th year. Loving husband of the late Elsie (nee Parkes). Son of the late Eva (nee Webb) and the late Robert Cronk. Jim was a Veteran who served as a flight engineer with RAF in the "Snowy Owls" Squadron from 1943-1945. He retired from the Department of Defense at the age of 65 and began his career with the Corps of Commissioners and retired in the 1980s. Jim was a proud life long member of the Montgomery Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion and took great interest in developments in aviation and sports. Friends are invited to visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street on Wednesday, May 13th, 2009 from 1-2 p.m. followed by a memorial service in the Chapel at 2:00 p.m. For those wishing, memorial contributions to Salvation Army would be appreciated.
