Rinehart, Sr.SPINDALE, NC-- Rev. Charles Francis Rinehart, Sr., age 79, of 213 Oxford Street, Spindale, NC died on Thursday at his home. He was born in Carroll County, MD.Charles was a retired minister with the Church of The Brethren. He faithfully served as a pastor of 8 churches spanning 50 years. He was actively involved in the community where he made significant contributions and received numerous awards.He was preceded in death by a son, Rev. Joe Rinehart; and parents, Norville and Edna Rinehart.Those left to cherish his memory include wife, Betty; daughter, Dottie Randolph and husband Tarrance of Green Creek, NC; three sons, Chuck Rinehart Jr. and wife Alisa of Shelby, NC, Richard Rinehart and wife Lucy of Knoxville, TN, and David Rinehart and wife Chris of Columbus, OH; daughter-in-law, Brenda Rinehart of Spindale, NC; sister, Shirley Clingan of Taneytown, MD; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday at the Spindale Church of The Brethren with Mr. Chuck Rinehart, Jr. and the Rev. Perry Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the sunset Memorial Park.
