Rebecca Crisp Willard, 80, of 202 Douglas St., entered life eternal Friday, Dec. 19, 2003, at her home.Born in Laurens County, she was a daughter of the late Spencer Ney and Ella Boyd Crisp. She was a retired employee of D.S.S. and was a part-time employee of the Laurens County Advertiser. Ms. Willard was a member of Rocky Springs Presbyterian Church, P.A.W.S., and was very dedicated to family, friends, church and community affairs.She is survived by two daughters, Juanita W. Compton, of Laurens, and Joan W. Crowder, and husband, Barry, of Waterloo; a son, John B. Willard, and wife, Cindy, of New Bern, N.C.; a sister, Mary C. Kelly, of Mount Pleasant; and four grandchildren, Cynthia J. Compton, Carol D. Compton Jr., Joshua L. Willard and Adam J. Willard. She was predeceased by a brother; and two sisters.Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 22, 2003, at Forest Lawn Cemetery, conducted by the Rev. Tom Malone.The family will be at the residence, and will receive friends after the graveside service.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Laurens Memorial Home for the Aged, P.O. Box 638, Laurens, SC 29360; or to a charity of one's choice.Kennedy Mortuary, Laurens.
