AKINS, Raymond Alexander On Wednesday, May 27, 2009 Ray Akins of Stony Plain passed away at the Good Samaritan Care Centre at the age of 91 years. Ray is lovingly remembered by Jean, his wife of 62 years; his son Ross (Donna) Akins; one daughter Betty-Lynne Akins; grandchildren: Grant, Ryan (Lindy), Laura (Curtis) and Cherylee; one great-granddaughter Claire as well as many other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his sister Ethyl White and brother Lyle Akins. The family wishes to thank the staff at Whispering Waters, Westview Health Centre and the Good Samaritan for their care and support. Family and Friends are invited to gather for a time of Visitation on Sunday, May 31, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. from Parkland Funeral Chapel, 3502 - 44 Avenue, Stony Plain. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 1, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. from Parkland Funeral Chapel, Stony Plain, with Dr. Henry Trickey officiating. Interment to follow in Glory Hills Cemetery, Stony Plain.
