Robert William Webber, 81, of East Windsor, CT, loving husband for 55 years to Marion (Hosley) Webber, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2010 at home. Bob was born on July 31, 1929 in Damariscotta ME, son of the late Ezra and Myra (Gross) Webber. He served in the US Army from 1951-1953 during the Korean War. Bob was employed at Pratt & Whitney for 37 years, retiring in 1985 and then worked six years at Gas Turbine. He was a member of the First Congregational Church of East Windsor, the VFW, the American Legion Barry- Poulter Post # 40, the East Windsor Senior Citizens and had sung in the Enfield Community Chorus for several years. Bob leaves his two daughters, Judy Destro and her husband, Joe of Broad Brook, CT and Jayne Noel and her husband, Steve of Windsor Locks, CT; his two sons, Jay Webber and his wife, Marcie of Corona, CA and John Webber (presently serving in Afghanistan) and his wife, Susan of Madison TX; his grandchildren, Joanna Fornwalt and her husband, Josh of Enfield, Amy Destro of Broad Brook, Marlena, Robert and Jacob Webber of Corona, CA and Corby Webber of Arlington, TX; nephews, Gene Leask, Larry Gray and Steve Gray all of Maine; cousin, Wayne Webber of Southington; a sister-in-law, Mabel Johnstone of Lake Helen, FL; and nieces, Sandra, Brenda, Paula, and nephew, Scott. Bob was predeceased by his siblings, Hattie Leask, Cora Gray and Ezra Webber Jr. A funeral service will be held at the First Congregational Church of East Windsor.
